There seems to be come confusion with this person and rta nag rin chen ye shes. In terms of the authorship of this work rgyud bla ma'i 'grel pa, BDRC attributes it to Zhang rin chen ye shes, while Wangchuk, Tsering in The Uttaratantra in the Land of Snows repeatedly associates this work with rta nag rin chen ye shes.
