Furthermore, neither of the dates seem to work so well when compared to the dates of their father, ('jam dbyangs rin chen rgyal mtshan 1445-1558), whom would have been either 7 or 77 at the time of his birth. The former, whom was a circa 7th century royal physician, is too early a figure to have been the revealer. While the latter, whom was one of the bod sman mkhas pa mi dgu mentioned by Kongtrul, seems to have been the son of the figure Kongtrul claims passed down the treasure. Though, as he states, he couldn't find an extensive history of this figure, so he might have been mistaken on certain details.
