Biographical Information

Yūn-Hua Jan is Professor of Religion, Department of Religious Studies, McMaster University, Hamilton. He has received a Canada Council Fellowship (1973-74) and has lectured in Chinese Studies at Visva-Bharati University, India. He has been a visiting researcher at the Institute of Oriental Culture, University of Tokyo (1974). He is the author of A Chronicle of Buddhism in China 581-906 A.D.
