bio	Jñānavajra was the author of a commentary on the Laṅkāvatārasūtra, the Tathāgatahṛdāyalāṃkara (De bzhin gshegs pa'i snying po rgyan), preserved in the Tengyur collection. There is some argument over whether he was Indian or Chinese based on the colophon to the text: 'phags pa lang kar gshegs pa zhes bya ba theg pa chen po'i mdo'i 'grel pa de bzhin gshegs pa'i snying po'i rgyan zhes bya ba rgya'i mkhan po dz+nyA na badzras mdzad pa rdzogs so.
