Biographical Information

Younghee Lee earned her Ph.D. from the University of Hawai'i at Manoa and has taught at Smith College and the University of Aukland, where she serves concurrently as the Director of the Korean Studies Centre of the New Zealand Institute. Presently, she is an Honorary Research Fellow at the School of Asian Studies, University of Aukland. Among her publications are Ideology, Culture and Han: Traditional and Early Modern Korean Women's Literature (2002) and several articles on Buddhist kasa. (Source Accessed Aug 11, 2023)
