- According to Tansen Sen (Buddhism, Diplomacy, and Trade, 2015) Weijing was one of the few Chinese monks that figured prominently in the translation activities of the Song, "who never visited India, but was trained in Buddhism and Sanskrit at the Institute for the Transmission of the Dharma in the Song capital" (127).
