Jan Chozen Bays is a wife, mother, and pediatrician working in the field of child abuse. A dharma heir of Maezumi Roshi, she is teacher at the Zen Community of Oregon, and is the co-founder, with her husband Hogen Bays, of Great Vow Monastery in Clatskanie, Oregon, where they teach and reside.
