| bio | Śākyarakṣita was an Indian author and translator most likely active in the mid-twelfth century. His guru was Abhayakaragupta, who was abbot of the monastic university Vikramaśīla during the reign of King Ramapala (c. 1084–1126/1130). He is the author of Abhisamayamanjari (Flower Cluster of Clear Understanding) in the Guhyasamayasadhanamald (English, Vajrayogini, 2002, 10–11) and is listed as one of the translators of the Saddharmasmṛtyupasthānasūtra. |
