bio	Neal Donner received his Ph.D. in Buddhist Studies in 1976 from the University of British Columbia for an annotated translation of the first chapter of Chih-i’s Mo-ho chih-kuan. His translation (with Shotaro Iida) of Yensho Kanakura’s Indo tetsugaku-shi has been published as Hindu-Buddhist Thought in India. (Sudden and Gradual, contributors, 458)
