Born in Switzerland, Pascale Hugon attended the University of Lausanne, where she majored in Asian studies. After her doctoral studies in Kyoto (Japan) and Lausanne, in 2006 she joined the Institute for the Cultural and Intellectual History of Asia of the Austrian Academy of Sciences, Vienna. Since 2009 she has also been active as a lecturer at the Institute for South Indian, Buddhist and Tibetan Studies at the University of Vienna. Her ongoing research addresses questions linked to the transmission of Indian Buddhist religious and philosophical literature to Tibet, with a focus on the tradition of logic and epistemology. Source
