Maia Duerr is currently research director at the Center for Contemplative Mind in Society, based in Northampton, Massachusetts. Before that, she was the associate editor of Turning Wheel, an anthropology researcher, and a mental health professional. She received lay ordination from Roshi Joan Halifax and has lived and practiced at the San Francisco Zen Center.
