He received his Ph.D. in Austrian/German Literature from Oxford University, England, where he also pursued a special interest in Buddhist philosophy. He received his First Class Honours B.A. in German/French Language and Literature from the University of London. He is the author of three books on Buddhist philosophy, and two books on the scientific invalidity of animal experimentation.
