bio	Muktinath Lama Wangyal (b. 1956) is a Nyingma ngagpa (tantric householder practitioner) born in Muktinath Valley, Nepal, and the current abbot of Chumig Gyatsa (Muktinath), a position he inherited from his grandfather Jampal Rabgyé Rinpoche in 1978 following a traditional retreat of three years, three months, three weeks, and three days. He is a strict vegetarian, refraining from meat, fish, eggs, and alcohol.
