Biographical Information
Tibetan Scholar, Calligrapher, Government Official, and Author who appeared in Seven Years in Tibet and several other films. He published the early and popular Modern Tibetan Language books in the 1980s, as well as Learn to Speak Tibetan and Hindi and English for Beginners (dbyin ji'i skad yig slob tshul gom pa dang po). He spent time as a resident scholar at the Library of Tibetan Works and Archives and interacted with western scholars and translators there. (Source Accessed May 20, 2020)
