Other Information

Heather Stoddard is perhaps best known for her many writings on Tibetan art history and on the 20th century Tibetan poet, political dissident and Indologist Gendün Chömpel (her book entitled Le mendiant de l'Amdo is soon to appear in a newly revised English edition). With research covering all periods of Tibetan history up to the present day in areas ranging from esoteric religiosity to archaeology to contemporary politics (just to name a few), her work exemplifies the multi-disciplinary approach that until very recently characterized quite a few Tibet scholars.
