Drongbu Tsering Dorje ('Brong bu tshe ring rdo rje) is a Professor and Graduate Student Advisor at Tibet University (Lhasa) and a Researcher at the Tibet Academy of Social Sciences. He has written extensively on history, religion, and philosophy, and has done pioneering research and translation of Western philosophy into Tibetan. Professor Drongbu Tsering Dorje's talk (April 24, 2004) will cover recent discoveries in his research on Lhalung Paldor (Lha lung dpal gyi rdo rje), the Buddhist monk who allegedly assassinated Glang Darma (Glang dar ma), the last Tibetan king, in 842.
