He is a lawyer, social analyst, nonviolent campaigner, lecturer, and educationalist. He is the president of the Santi Pracha Dhamma Institute of nonformal education and research for alternative development. He is a founder of the International Network of Engaged Buddhists and a member of the international board of the Buddhist Peace Fellowship.
