bio | Sheng-chien 聖堅 was a greatly respected translator of Buddhist texts during the Western Ch'in (385–431 CE). He is believed to have translated sūtras (many of which are no longer extant), including the "Entering the Dharma World", or Gaṇḍavyūha Sūtra. In the Taisho canon text number T294 is attributed to him. |
