bio	Mahāsumati (also known as Hasumati or Vidyāhasumati) was a Kashmiri paṇḍita who flourished in the 11th century. He served as teacher to the celebrated Tibetan translator Patsab Lotsāwa Nyima Drakpa and collaborated with him on the translation of Candrakīrti's Mūlamadhyamakavṛttiprasannapadā into Tibetan, a translation subsequently revised by R. Kanakavarman and Patsab Lotsāwa himself.
