| bio | Legs pa'i blo gros (Tib. Ban de legs pa'i blo gros; BDRC P4267) was a Tibetan monk-translator of the imperial period, active between the eighth and ninth centuries. His only known work is the Tibetan translation of Nāgārjuna's Āryaśālistambakamahāyānasūtraṭīkā (Tib. 'Phags pa sā lu ljang pa zhes bya ba theg pa chen po'i mdo'i rgya cher bshad pa; Derge Tengyur 3986), an extensive commentary on the Śālistambasūtra (Rice Seedling Sūtra), which he translated together with Jñānakumāra and Dharmaśrīprabha. The translation is preserved in the Derge, Peking, Narthang, and Golden Manuscript Tengyurs. Nothing further is known of his life. |
