| bio | Lobsang Gyaltsan was an oral translator affiliated with Thubten Dhargye Ling (TDL) Tibetan Buddhist Studies Center in Los Angeles, California. He served as interpreter for Geshe Tsultim Gyeltsen (1923–2009), the Tibetan-born founder of TDL and one of the pioneering Tibetan Buddhist teachers in the West. In this capacity, Lobsang Gyaltsan rendered Geshe Gyeltsen's spoken Tibetan teachings into English in real time, making the Geshe's instructions accessible to Western audiences. His oral translations formed the basis of Keys to Great Enlightenment (Thubten Dhargye Ling Publications, Los Angeles), a commentary on Kadam Geshe Langri Tangpa's Eight Verses of Thought Training and Bodhisattva Togmey Zangpo's Thirty-Seven Bodhisattva Practices. |
