- Medeival Indian master of the Vinaya, renowned in Tibet, together with Guṇaprabha, as one of the "two supreme ones" (mchog gnyis). Apparently from Kashmir, he was an expert in the Mūlasarvāstivāda vinaya. He is best known for his work Śrāmaṇeratriśatakakārikā ("Three Hundred Verses on the Novice"), to which he wrote an autocommentary entitled Prabhāvatī. (Source: "Śākyaprabha."
