According to the book The Universal Vehicle Discourse Literature (Mahāyānasūtrālaṁkāra), both the verses in the Mahāyānasūtrālaṃkārakārikā (Peking 5521) and the work which contains the verses and commentary together under the title Sūtrālaṁkāra-bhāṣya (Peking 5527) were prepared by Śākyasiṁha and Kawa Paltsek during the royal translation project at Samye monastery in the 8th-9th century. |
