Bio: A student of Chogyam Trungpa Rinpoche and his son and spiritual heir, Sakyong Mipham Rinpoche, since 1981, Mark Seibold is a member of the Nalanda Translation Committee and Dean of the Mipham Academy, a program within the Shambhala community dedicated to the deep study of classical Buddhist texts. Since 2005 he has been on the faculty of the Nitartha Institute where he teaches Tibetan. He has studied at several Tibetan monasteries in India and Nepal, most recently at Karme Lekshey Ling Institute, a Karma Kagyü Shedra located in the Kathmandu valley of Nepal. A member of the Pioneer Valley Shambhala Center in Northampton, MA, he lives in Greenfield, MA where he works translating Tibetan philosophical works into English, tutors students in Tibetan and rides bikes.
