|bio=Hilary has been studying Tibetan Buddhism and the dharma generally since 1999. In Nepal she studied Buddhist text, hermeneutics, Tibetan and Sanskrit. In addition she participated in textual study in the Gelugpa and Sakya traditions. She pursued her studies with a MA in Buddhist Studies from the University of Bristol, UK, and is currently a PhD candidate at that institution.
