bio Kåre Albert Lie (born 9 September 1942 ) is a Norwegian historian of religion, non-fiction author and translator. He has translated, or contributed to the translation of, nearly 60 books, especially in the history of religion and culture. In addition, he has published a number of books on Buddhism and the oldest texts of Buddhism.
